SOMMER RAYN is a self-taught artist who discovered her passion for drawing and writing at a very young age. Her style could be described as joyful and whimsical.
She is a strong advocate for animal rights. Her love for cats is evident in most of her work. Sommer has made it her life’s mission to utilize her art in ways that will benefit animal rescues around the world.
A full-time artist, Sommer has created commissioned portraits of beloved pets for clients around the world. She was commissioned to create a portrait of the Oak Ridge Boys portrayed as cats. They were so pleased with the piece that they autographed a print for her to place in her collection.
Sommer’s book series ‘The Shadow Kitties’ focuses on the joy and playfulness of cats. Each book is beautifully illustrated with her signature black Shadow Cats. The ‘Shadow Kitties Day at the Beach, a Counting Book’ is her latest book in this series.
Sommer’s book series ‘My Enchanted Earth’ focuses on stories that are filled with uplifting messages that reinforce life is full of joy, gratitude, positive self-worth and love. Her most recent book in this collection is ‘Let’s explore Quirky Beach’.
Sommer’s book series that is based around ‘Quirky Island’ celebrates individuality, inclusion, and love. Each character promotes acceptance, being true to yourself and celebrating who you are. The Island is filled with whimsical animals who live in various towns. This series lets you meet the citizens, their unique location, their love for all and what makes them special. Some of the titles include: Quirkyopolis, Quirky Island, Quirky Beach, Purr ‘n’ Nip Cafe and Quirky Kitty City.
