Now that the busy Christmas season has come to an end, it is time to start indulging myself by creating my art again. I love it when I can spend hours on new pieces, and it’s always such a joy to see the animals come to life.
This is my current project. It is going to be a cute boy and girl cat, dressed in some vintage clothing, on a boat enjoying a peaceful day. It looks rough right now, but as I continue to work on it, the characters will come to life!
My process is to sketch my idea on paper. Then I use a watercolor wash as a base for my colors and then depending on the area, I work with colored pencils (various brands) to blend and make the image pop.
I will be updating with some progress pics as I go along. Thank you to everyone for following me and supporting me on my journey of creating art.
